Sexual Assault Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a nationwide campaign dedicated to raising awareness about sexual violence. The Title IX Office invites all members of our community to promote awareness, education, and action by participating in the events and activities listed below and by using our SAAM virtual backgrounds to show your support for those impacted by sexual violence.

SAAM Prevention and Resource Fair
Wednesday, April 1

SSB First Floor Lobby
Help us launch SAAM with food, drinks, and engaging activities. Connect with campus partners offering safety, support, and wellness resources for Longhorns. Learn about available services, meet students and staff, and explore ways to take action toward ending sexual violence.
Care and Comfort Donation Drive
Throughout April
The Title IX Office is partnering with the UT Outpost to host a Care and Comfort Donation Drive. Donate personal care and hygiene items to support individuals impacted by sexual violence.
A list of accepted items is available on the UT Outpost website. Donation bins are located at:
• Student Services Building (SSB)
• Union Building (UNB)
• William C. Powers, Jr. Student Activity Center (WCP)
• North End Zone Building (NEZ)
Donations may also be made through the UT Outpost Amazon Wishlist or by making a financial gift.
Coffee and Consent

Show your support for survivors by wearing teal—the color of sexual violence prevention—and join the Title IX Office for a free cup of coffee and donuts while supplies last. Learn more about consent, healthy communication, and available campus resources.

Speedway Pedestrian Mall
Join us on the Speedway every Tuesday and Thursday to participate in prevention-focused activities and learn more about the Title IX Office’s services, resources, and educational opportunities available to the campus community.
Denim Day Walk: Building a Caring Campus Community
Wednesdays, April 29

Littlefield Fountain
Wear denim and stand in solidarity with survivors to raise awareness about sexual violence and promote a culture of care and prevention. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last.

The Title IX Office hosts a variety of workshops to engage in discussions about setting healthy boundaries, addressing retaliation, and providing supportive measures to those who have experienced interpersonal violence.
